Off-duty Walden Village cop killed in crash

WALDEN VILLAGE - An off-duty Walden Village police officer is dead after a crash in Ulster County.

Police say Officer Dustin James, 31, was riding a motorcycle through an intersection when he collided with a car on Tuesday.

They say the crash happened at the intersection of Bruynswick Road and Route 44/55 in the Town of Gardiner.

James was rushed to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
