NEW ROCHELLE - Students in the Hudson Valley are pitching in to help victims of Sandy and the Newtown massacre.
Children in a special needs life skills class at Isaac Young Middle School are showing support by writing letters to the victims of the Newtown massacre.
Also, for the last few weeks, students in the eighth-grade honor society at the school adopted a middle school in Staten Island devastated by Sandy.
The Staten Island school lost a parent and a student during the storm.
With the help of donations from classmates, the class has raised $2,500 to help rebuild the middle school. A check is set to be delivered to Staten Island tomorrow.
