WHITE PLAINS - The New York Knicks have announced that they are bringing their development team to Westchester this fall. This is the city's first professional sports team in history.

While it's not quite the NBA, some say the development team is the second-best professional basketball league in the world.

Since the team is an expansion team, it currently does not have a name. The Knicks currently have a vote going on their D-League website so fans can vote for what they would like the team's name to be.

Knicks games at Madison Square Garden can cost fans anywhere from $50 to staggering prices like $500 for a ticket. At the County Center in White Plains where the team will play, the cheapest tickets can be picked up for only $12.

Four current Knicks played in the developmental league.

The league is set to start in the fall.
