MOUNT VERNON - A literacy volunteer is retiring after 22 years helping people in Mount Vernon learn to read and write.

Nancy Fitch, the Coordinator of the Volunteers Learning Center at the Mount Vernon Public Library,  is retiring at age 94. She has been working at the library since 1992 and is a former city clerk for Mount Vernon.
