POMONA - Thirty-one mounted police officers graduated from their training Friday at Patrick Farm in Pomona.

Officers who completed the eight weeks of training came from the Rockland County Sheriff's Department, upstate New York, Connecticut and even Pennsylvania.

The training includes exercises in precision training and crowd control. The officers say the training is also good for the horses, as they lose weight and get into shape.
