MOUNT VERNON - The Mount Vernon boys basketball team was honored with a parade Wednesday after winning the school's 11th state title last month.

The nearly two-hour parade made its way down California Road and hit almost every school district in the city.

The celebration wrapped up at City Hall with a congratulatory message from Mayor Richard Thomas.

Mount Vernon has won more boys basketball championships than any other school in the state.
