YONKERS - Metro-North is suspending service south of Yonkers on the Hudson line this weekend so crews can continue to make repairs after last week's freight train derailment in the Bronx.

Crews have been steadily working to finish clearing and repairing the wreckage that destroyed a track last Thursday. Crews say they hope to remove the last three derailed cars by tomorrow morning so the track can be rebuilt.

Metro-North says it is aiming to have full service back for Monday morning's commute.
