Metro-North President Joseph Giulietti meets with commuters over rail concerns
WHITE PLAINS - The new president of Metro-North met with commuters tonight at the White Plains Train Station.
Joseph Giulietti said he has been riding the rails and listening to commuter concerns, and that changes are on the way.
The meeting comes after a Federal Railroad Administration report that claims the rail line has been more concerned with being on time than safety.

Giulietti said he plans on making safety a top priority. The rail line is undergoing a top to bottom safety review and taking technological steps to minimize mistakes.
Giulietti also said new schedules, which are supposed to be more reliable and accurate, are due out in May.
More face-to-face talks between Giulietti and commuters are scheduled in the coming weeks at several different Hudson Valley train stations.
