MIDDLETOWN - Dozens of New York State troopers gathered in Middletown today for a Memorial Day service.

Troopers and loved ones read the names of dozens of officers that were killed in the line of duty.

One resident said she came to the event to honor her father, who was a longtime member of the state police and recently passed away.

The remembrance ceremony is held every year.
