Melting snow creates slushy mess

YONKERS - Friday was a slushy mess across Westchester and Hudson Valley, as warmer temperatures began to melt Thursday’s heavy accumulation of snow.

Neighbors in Yonkers worked to clear storm drains as large puddles began to form.

With more snow approaching the area Saturday morning, neighbors say they do not want the puddles to create an icy and dangerous situation on the roads.

Forecasters say the region should see 2 to 4 inches of snow beginning around 7 a.m.
