WHITE PLAINS - The murder trial against a White Plains ex-con, accused of killing a Mamaroneck mother of two, is set to pick up again Monday.
Opening statements were heard against Reginald Powell on Friday. Powell is accused of stabbing and pummeling Jennifer Katz to death inside her Mamaroneck home almost two years ago.
Powell, an admitted drug addict who previously served 24 years for another murder, was arrested after he was caught driving Katz's car in New York City. He was found with drugs and her jewelry when arrested.
