Lock-in shuts down Mount Vernon High School

MOUNT VERNON - Mount Vernon High School was put into lock-in today after a female called a bomb threat into the school.

Officials set emergency procedures into effect just after 10:20 a.m. after the call was received. Students and faculty were locked-in because the threat said a bomb was in front of the building.

Police swept the area for evidence and found nothing. They gave the 'all-clear' around 11:40 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
