Jury deadlocked on third day of deliberations in Alexandru Hossu rape trial
CARMEL - The jury remains deadlocked of day three of deliberations in the rape case of Alexandru Hossu, the former live-in trainer of Putnam County DA Adam Levy.
Thirty minutes after the jurors began deliberations, they told the judge they were deadlocked. They were sent back to deliberate longer by the judge, and then asked to listen to previous testimony from a psychologist who testified on behalf of the prosecution.
The jury also asked to listen to the accuser's testimony again.

Hossu is accused of violently raping the 13-year-old daughter of his then-girlfriend in 2010. Lawyers from both sides agree the jury is weighing the credibility of the accuser's testimony, as Hossu himself didn't testify.
