BRIARCLIFF MANOR - A federal judge ordered the release of Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino's videotaped testimony on Westchester's affordable housing case Thursday.

This comes after the judge ruled the county is not complying with the 2009 consent decree in the case.

The federal judge ruled the Astorino administration has breached terms of the agreement by failing to promote affordable housing and racial diversity. Video tapes of Astorino's deposition were ordered to be made public.

An Astorino spokesman contends the ruling attempts to deny the county executive of his First Amendment right to speak out on what he believes the government is really doing.

The county has until July 5 to file an appeal.
