POUGHKEEPSIE - Poughkeepsie police have made an arrest in the murder of an elderly woman Wednesday.

Jovan Tyrek Rogers, 20, has been arrested for allegedly killing 99-year-old Fannie Gumbinger in her Underhill Avenue home.

Gumbinger was found dead by a home health aide and the death was ruled a homicide.

Rogers could also be charged in connection with several other burglaries.

Rogers was arraigned this morning and is being held at the Dutchess County Jail. Poughkeepsie police are planning to give an update on the investigation at a press conference on Monday.
