Indian Point union workers hold practice picket outside the nuclear plant
BUCHANAN - Union workers from Indian Point staged what they're calling a "practice picket" outside of the nuclear plant today.
Their contract doesn't expire until next week, but they say they're rallying because they don't like the way negotiations are going. Some workers are accusing Entergy, the plant's owner, of taking away some of their health care benefits.
Entergy says it respects the union's right to stage action and that it is continuing negotiations. Union officials haven't decided if they'll strike when their contract expires.
