NYACK - A film crew took over the Nyack area yesterday to shoot scenes for an HBO TV pilot called "The Leftovers."

Most of the filming took place on South Broadway and inside the popular restaurant La Fontana.

The dramatic series starring Liv Tyler is the second pilot HBO has chosen to film in Nyack in recent months. County tourism officials are optimistic this is the start of something big. "This is contributing to putting Rockland on the map as a filming destination. The more "film friendly" we become, we can really become Hollywood East right here in Rockland County," says CJ Miller, of Rockland County Tourism.

It's too soon to tell if "The Leftovers" will be picked up by the network, but if it does, officials say there will be lot more shooting in Nyack.
