TUXEDO - A 4-month-old puppy named Guinness, the mascot for Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center has gone missing.

The puppy has been missing since Sunday, according to owner James Mezzetti. He says the dog slipped out of an open door at the Sterling Forest Fire Department some time during the Super Bowl.

Mezzetti says he's spent hours searching the woods where the Airedale puppy disappeared.

Mezzetti says his fear is that Guinness may be hurt in the woods and unable to move. He says the effort to find the puppy will continue by foot, by phone and on social media until he's found.

“We're just desperately looking,” said Mezzetti. “Nobody's called to turn him in. We got to believe he's still out there.”

Guinness is black and tan and was last seen with a bandage on his right paw. A $1,000 reward is being offered for the puppy’s return.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Guinness is urged to call Tuxedo police.
