Greenburgh expected to sell abandoned Frank's Nursery soon
GREENBURGH - The town of Greenburgh says it's ready to auction an abandoned nursery soon.
The 7-acre site is located at 715 Dobbs Ferry Road. It's the former home of Frank's Nursery, which has been closed for years and was foreclosed by the town in 2011. It has sat vacant since, producing no tax revenue.
There was a proposal to build a sports dome, involving a long-term lease, but a competing business and local residents objected to the plan. At a town board meeting Tuesday, a consultant told officials he has 100 potential bidders ready if they end up auctioning the property.

The town does not have clear ownership of the land, but the town is expected to have that issue resolved in a few days. As for when an auction will take place, town officials say they hope to have one in June.
