Greenburgh Assistant Principal Frank Gluberman pleads not guilty to stealing nearly $800K

GREENBURGH - An assistant principal at Woodlands High School in Greenburgh who is accused of stealing nearly $800,000 from taxpayers and his own colleagues pleaded not guilty in court today.

Frank Gluberman, 66, of Congers, is the former treasurer of the Greenburgh Teachers Federation and Teachers Welfare Fund. He was arraigned today on grand larceny charges in Greenburgh Town Court.

Prosecutors say from 2006 until last year, Gluberman wrote checks to himself and his daughters from the fund to pay property taxes on two homes he owns.

Gluberman has been vice principal for two years, after a career of teaching math and business at Woodlands High School, New York City schools and North Rockland High School. He is currently on a leave of absence.
