Garage fire destroys Porsche in Shrub Oak

SHRUB OAK

A high-priced car went up in flames during an overnight garage fire in northern Westchester.

Fire officials say they responded to a call around 11 p.m. yesterday on New Road in Shrub Oak. Dozens of firefighters were called to the scene, and it took about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control.

There are no injuries to report, but the Porsche stored in the garage was destroyed.

There is no word yet on what sparked the fire.
