Free tax services offered in Orange County

MIDDLETOWN - A free tax filing service is being offered to senior citizens and other Orange County residents with low income at the Mulberry Middle House Senior Center in Middletown.

The program provides IRS trained professionals, who volunteer their services, and is offered through United Way and ARRP organizations.  

Around 2,000 senior citizens have participated so far in the program at 30 sites throughout Orange County.

An appointment is necessary for people who are in need of getting taxes done for free by dialing 211.
