YONKERS - A former Westchester County Department of Parks and Recreation worker was arraigned today on a list of charges, including grand larceny.

The Westchester District Attorney's Office said Michael Gallo, of Yorktown, allegedly took more than $14,000 worth of items from the Kensico Dam Plaza, while he was working in the maintenance department.

Officials say he took things like batteries and sprinkler heads to a recycling company in Elmsford.

If convicted, Gallo could face up to seven years in prison.
