ELMSFORD - The Food Bank of Westchester is asking for help to feed double the amount of families fed in 2012.

The food bank is trying to collect 4,000 turkeys, which would be distributed to more than 200 hunger relief agencies and food pantries around the county.

Residents will no longer have to drop off their turkey donation, they can simply send a text.

By texting FB4W to 88500, a $25 donation will be sent to the food bank and used to purchase food for two families. Employees of the food bank will take care of buying and delivering all turkeys.
