HASTINGS - Flames destroyed an apartment building in Hastings-on-Hudson yesterday.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. and ripped through the second floor of a four-story apartment building on Main Street.

Six families were evacuated, but no one was reported injured.

Fire crews in Hastings say the blaze started in the rear porch of the building. They are still investigating the cause of the fire
