Fire at Domino's Pizza in Wappingers Falls turns deadly

WAPPINGERS - A body was found in the burnt out shell of a Domino's Pizza shop in Wappingers Falls.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out at the store on Route 9 around 5 a.m. Wednesday. They say the shop was completely engulfed in flames during a time that it would normally be closed.

Firefighters were able to knock it down without any damage to surrounding businesses. But, once inside, investigators found a body.

The cause of the fire, and the identity of the person found inside, are still being investigated.
