FEMA help center in White Plains to close its doors Friday
Thousands of people have signed up for federal help at the center. (December 20, 2012)
WHITE PLAINS - The FEMA help center in White Plains is scheduled to close its doors this Friday.
Close to 1,000 people sought help from the agency after Sandy barreled her way through New York.
Scores of homes were destroyed, and many were left powerless in the wake of the storm.
