MIDDLETOWN - More than two dozen people were arrested in a major heroin sweep in the Middletown area this morning.

Officials say the Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force arrested most of the 15 suspects locally, but that three were busted in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico.

So far, officials are remaining tight-lipped about who was arrested, where the busts took place and what the charges are.

Twelve suspects appeared in White Plains Federal Court today. They will be detained for the evening.

This was the second FBI-led drug raid in Orange County within two months.
