UNIONVILLE - An explosion and fire in Orange County had an elderly couple running for their lives this weekend. Fire officials say crews rushed to Amdurer Road in Unionville and battled the intense flames late Saturday night.

No firefighters were injured, but the structure was destroyed. The couple was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Right now there is no official cause, but Orange County fire investigators are reportedly looking into whether oxygen tanks stored at the home and used by the elderly woman are partly to blame.
