EASTCHESTER - A former Eastchester police officer will have to stay in prison and serve his sentence in the shooting death of his friend.

James Pileggi was denied parole by a state board yesterday.

Pileggi will now have to wait until June 2016 for another chance at getting out of prison.

Pileggi was convicted of manslaughter in 2012 after shooting Andre Everett while he showed off the laser on his gun.
