EASTCHESTER - A school in Eastchester is holding special programs next week to discuss bullying and how to try and prevent kids from becoming victims.

Author Nick Katsoris will be speaking at the anti-bullying assemblies at the Anne Hutchinson School.

Katsoris, a practicing attorney, is the author of the acclaimed Loukoumi children's book series, including "Loukoumi and the Schoolyard Bully." The main character, Loukoumi, is a little lamb, which teaches kids that bullying is not cool. The audio narration of the book features an all-star cast of Oscar winners Morgan Freeman, Olympia Dukakis and Oscar nominee Nia Vardalos.

The Eastchester native says it’s incumbent on parents, educators and citizens to teach children at a young age that bullying should not be tolerated.
