‘Dance Off’ held at Kerry Hall in Yonkers to support 7-year-old bombing victim, Jane Richard

Dancers from around the Northeast gathered at Kerry Hall in Yonkers to raise money for 7-year-old Jane Richard,who lost a leg in the Boston Marathon

YONKERS - Dancers from around the Northeast gathered at Kerry Hall in Yonkers to raise money for 7-year-old Jane Richard,who lost a leg in the Boston Marathon bombing.

Her 8-year-old brother, Martin Richard, was one of the three people who died during the bombing. Her mother was seriously wounded.

Jane was an Irish dancer who recently attended the world dance championships in Boston. She had hopes of competing one day.

Attendees at today’s “Dance Off For Jane” event, have high hopes that Jane will one day dance again. Money from today’s event was donated to the Richard Family Fund, which has already raised over $300,000.
