YONKERS - Tenants at the Crestwood Lake Apartments in Yonkers say they feel safer since security was increased following a string of robberies.

More than a dozen break-ins were reported at the apartment complex on Beaumont Circle over the span of four months earlier this year. People living there called for more security and the property manager took action.

The building's property manager hired a guard to circle the complex in a security car at all times. He says he is also looking into security cameras and has other plans he did not want to discuss on camera. Tenants say there are also undercover police officers in the area.

No arrests have been made in the robberies. Anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to call police.
