PEEKSKILL - Hundreds of Christians in the Hudson Valley observed Good Friday by attending a Stations of the Cross performance in Peekskill.

The Church of the Assumption hosted the Stations of the Cross, which has been performed for the past 12 years at Depew Park. The performance depicts the final moments of Jesus Christ's life, which is commemorated by Christians on Good Friday.

Organizers say the group that attends the Stations of the Cross grows every year. The crowd walked more than a mile through the park to follow the performance.

The Stations of the Cross was performed in Spanish, but those attending from other cultures say they still understood the message.
