BRONXVILLE - A car burst into flames this morning after slamming into a utility pole on Masterson Road in Bronxville.

The incident occurred at about 2:30 a.m., and police say the driver lost control of a vehicle on a curve.

Live power lines fell onto the vehicle, and Con Ed rushed to the scene to shut off the power and make repairs.

Authorities say the driver was not injured and only a few homes in the area lost power.
