VALHALLA - A potentially dangerous situation was averted after a car caught fire while on the train tracks in Valhalla.

First responders say they arrived on the scene to find a car fully engulfed in flames while on the Metro-North tracks on Cleveland Street just before 10 p.m.

A News 12 viewer was able to capture the fire on video.

Fire officials say the people inside the vehicle were able to get out safely, and crews were able to warn officials so that no trains on the Harlem line tracks collided with the car.
