BEDFORD - A woman behind bars in the infamous 1981 Brinks robbery could soon get out of prison.

Judith Clark met with the parole board last week.

The board now has about 14 days to make a decision whether to release her.

Judith Clark, 67, was one of the heavily armed terrorists convicted in 1983 of robbing and killing a Brinks security guard at the Nanuet Mall, and then shooting and killing two Nyack police officers as the suspects attempted to get away on the Thruway. The victims were Sgt. Edward O'Grady, Officer Waverly Brown and Brinks guard Peter Paige.

Clark got three consecutive 25-year-to-life terms and has served 35 years of her original sentence. Gov. Andrew Cuomo says Clark has been a model citizen during her imprisonment and commuted her sentence in Dec. 2016.

Cuomo says he took action after seeing her transformation and impressed him as community-minded person.

Law enforcement is opposing Clark's release.
