SUFFERN - A Rockland County school has been closed for the day after a bomb threat was found written on the bathroom wall.

Police say the threat was discovered just before 11 a.m. at Suffern Middle School. The district initiated its bomb threat protocol and evacuated all students from the school building.

Students were then transported by school bus to Suffern High School where they spent the rest of the school day.

A Rockland County Sheriff's Department spokesman say bomb squad members and K-9 units went classroom to classroom to clear the building and found nothing.

No injuries have been reported.
