WHITE PLAINS - Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has been showing signs that he is set to mount a run for governor, but he has not made the official announcement.
A spokesperson for the county executive says that Astorino informed his staff Friday night on the decision he will be making, but the spokesperson would not reveal what it was.
On Friday, Astorino was in Binghamton at a speaking engagement. Friday night, Astorino was also the guest of honor at the Broome County Lincoln Day Dinner.

Astorino has also been raising money and slamming Governor Cuomo on a host of issues from the governor's signature economic technique to Gov. Cuomo's position on the controversial natural gas drilling technique known as hydrofracking.
But, Gov. Cuomo is a popular incumbent sitting on $33 million in his warchest, toppling Astorino's $1 million in campaign funds.
A Siena College poll released this week shows Cuomo leading Astorino 64 to 22 percent.
Astorino is expected to announce his run by the middle of next week.
