Anthony Greco, 20, falls 50 feet from cellphone tower on top of Harriman Mountain

WOODBURY - A worker is lucky to be alive after falling 50 feet off a cellphone tower this morning.

Police say Anthony Greco, 20, fell from the tower he was working on at around 11 a.m. in a remote area on top of Harriman Mountain. They say he fell onto an electrical shed at the base of the tower and then rolled over onto the ground.

Emergency workers had trouble getting to the scene because he was in the woods on top of the mountain and the access roads are not plowed yet.

Greco suffered severe internal injuries, as well as damage to one of his legs.

Responders eventually carried him out using a pickup truck with chains on it and drove him down the mountain to a spot where a medical helicopter was able to take him to Westchester Medical Center. His condition is currently unknown.
