YONKERS - The annual blessing of the Hudson River was held today.

The event took place at Haverstraw Park, and was sponsored by Groundwork Hudson Valley and The Beczak Environmental Education Center.

Children attended the event to learn about preserving the environment.

For those who want to help keep the Hudson and Saw Mill rivers in good condition, environmental groups will be at the Saw Mill River at 10 a.m. Saturday.  They will meet at the Adrian Vanderdonk Park in Yonkers.
