MAMARONECK - A Westchester rabbi is facing charges that he impersonated a police officer during a road rage incident.

Police say Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski, 49, flashed a fake badge and pulled over a driver on Mamaroneck Avenue Wednesday morning. Borodowski, of Congregation Sulam Yaakov in Larchmont, was allegedly enraged that the other driver was driving too slowly.

The 24-year-old female victim says she was driving the speed limit in a 20 mph school zone. She says she pulled over, but stayed in her car and called police.

Borodowski was arraigned Wednesday and charged with first-degree criminal impersonation, a felony. He scheduled for another court appearance in village court on July 11.
