Police say Adriana Miranda and Juan Cruz made up a story about a robbery.

GREENWICH - A couple from Greenwich is facing charges after police say they falsely reported a robbery.

Police say Adriana Miranda and Juan Cruz called 911 on Friday to report that Cruz had been robbed and punched in the face at the Chase Bank on Glenville Street.

Police say they investigated the claims for about an hour and found Cruz had hurt himself the night before when he was drunk and fell.
