Five people connected to Yonkers grocery stores have been arrested on charges they stole more than a $1 million from the government's food stamps program.

According to the federal complaint, the owner and an employee of the Sam Deli Grocery Store, located at 156 Palisade Ave., pocketed more than $250,000 from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as SNAP.
