More than two dozen children were injured this morning in a school bus accident in Orange County. Police say a school bus carrying 50 children

KIRYAS JOEL - More than two dozen children were injured this morning in a school bus accident in Orange County.

Police say a school bus carrying 50 children to the United Talmudic Academy crashed into a Orange & Rockland Utilities electrical transformer just after 7:30 a.m. at Rimenev Court in Kiryas Joel.An empty Monroe Coach commuter bus then crashed into the school bus.

Twenty-five kids, mainly fifth and sixth-grade boys, were taken to Orange Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. All have since been released. The bus drivers were not taken to the hospital.

Fog and icy road conditions are being blamed for the accident.

No charges or tickets have been filed against either bus driver.
