2-alarm fire extinguished in Yonkers

A two-alarm fire ripped through a unit at a Yonkers apartment building Saturday morning. Firefighters responded to 79 Morningside Ave. at 10:30 a.m.

Fire officials say they were able to keep the fire from spreading to other buildings. They rescued one person inside the building.

There was no word on how the blaze began.
