WHITE PLAINS - Thousands of people turned out today for the 17th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in White Plains.

The event featured marching bands, floats and countless community groups.

Officials say the parade was a chance to showcase the contributions of the Irish people through their rich culture, music, spirit, warmth and humor.

The celebration continued after the parade with an Irish cultural tour downtown.

A number of local restaurants and bars provided food, drinks and music.
