YONKERS - Sixteen people, including one man from Yonkers, were arrested in connection with an alleged drug trafficking ring.

Among the 16 arrested is 29-year-old Jason Nieto, of Yonkers. The FBI says Nieto was part of the ring that allegedly spanned from the Bronx, through Westchester and up into Albany.

Local police joined the FBI's nine-month investigation, which involved electronic surveillance, undercover purchases and GPS devices attached to some of the suspects' vehicles. Police say they recovered four kilos of cocaine, eight guns and nearly $500,000 in cash. They also allegedly recovered kilo presses, cellphones and drug paraphernalia.

Eleven of those arrested now face federal charges and could spend life in prison.
