Brónagh Tumulty

Brónagh Tumulty joined News 12 Westchester/Hudson Valley in November 2015, having previously worked as a one-man-band reporter for News 12 stations in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Connecticut. Brónagh has covered all sorts of issues from deadly fires to feature stories - and everything in between - but if you've heard her on television, you'll know she's not from around here.

Brónagh was born and raised in Ireland. She immigrated to America in 2013 and worked as a producer for CBS in Dallas, Texas. Prior to that, she was a radio reporter/anchor in Ireland. She has also worked with the national broadcaster there, RTÉ, as well as with the BBC in the UK.

She went to college in England, graduating from the University of Sheffield with a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism. But Brónagh didn't always know that she wanted to be a journalist. After attaining a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool, she decided she wanted to travel. She moved to South Korea and then later to Argentina, visiting countries as diverse as China and Brazil along the way. She loved meeting other people and hearing their stories. Eventually, she decided journalism was the right path for her.

Brónagh is now thrilled to have settled on the East Coast, sharing the stories of the people who live here.
