MAMARONECK - Mamaroneck Mayor Norm Rosenblum has ordered the community's geese population be euthanized

The process will be handled by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Workers will also search for goose nests and coat eggs with a layer of corn oil to stop eggs from hatching.

Rosenblum’s decision has animal rights advocates up in arms.

Yonkers and Ardsley had been killing geese, but recently reversed their decisions after a public outcry. Activists say they will try to fight the decision in Mamaroneck.
